ASSITEJ Mongolia

ASSITEJ Mongolia is proud to announce the open call for international applications to the Wanderlust in Asia Touring Theatre Festival 2026.

This is not an ordinary theatre festival in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar—it is a nomadic, touring celebration of theatre across the breathtaking Zavkhan province of Mongolia. Each day, the festival will travel to a new sub-province, bringing performances to children & communities who may be experiencing live theatre for the first time. 

The 'Wanderlust Project', a collaborative initiative between the national centres of ASSITEJ Mongolia, ASSITEJ Nepal, & ASSITEJ Indonesia, was selected as an ASSITEJ International Regional Cooperation Programme effort.

Following the great success of its inaugural edition, the Mitsikouri International Performing Arts Festival for Children and Young People, organised by ASSITEJ Cyprus, returns under the slogan “DISCOVERING”.

The Gulali Festival Online 2025, held from August 1 - 3, featured nine original performances by Gulali Lab artists for 3,720 children across 35 provinces. Through 93 community screenings, children experienced puppetry, pantomime, dance, and experimental music, connecting with artists and celebrating creativity together across Indonesia.
